Hi, I’m Esme!

Coffee has always been a passion of mine. As a true Colombian, I’ve enjoyed coffee since I was a kid. It started as a little bit of instant coffee mixed with a bunch of milk and bread and cheese on the side. Then, it followed me through several exams, early mornings, internships, and graduations. I received my first espresso machine as a wedding gift, and thus began my home barista journey.

My passion and interest only grew over the years. My husband and I took a trip to the Coffee Belt in Colombia where we visited a coffee farm, learned about coffee production from farm to consumer, picked coffee cherries, roasted beans, and learned what makes a truly spectacular cup of coffee.

Though I consider myself a coffee aficionado, I’ve more so always loved the way coffee brings people together—whether it’s a conversation around a kitchen table, a coworking space with laptops and everyone’s favorite coffee in hand, or a room full of people gathering for something special.

After years of working with coffee and discovering my love for specialty coffee, I wanted to create something that combined two things I care deeply about: excellent coffee and genuine hospitality.

That’s how Emerald Valley Coffee began.

My goal isn’t simply to serve great coffee. It’s to create an experience where your guests feel welcomed, cared for, and glad they came.
